When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing “dance” at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God’s Will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn’t flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or pressing lightly in one direction or another. It’s as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle lowered my head, I became willing to let God lead. My prayer for you today is that God’s lowered my head, I became willing to let God lead. My prayer for you today is that God’s blessings and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday. May you abide in God as God blessings and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday. May you abide in God as God abides in you. Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life.

I grew up in Camden, SC and am the daughter of Phil and
Felicia Elliott. I have one sister, Mallory, who is married to
Kevin Ray and they have one son, Charlie.
Three years ago, I moved back to Camden after having lived
in the upstate for the last 6 years where I taught dance and
worked as a personal trainer. My original plan was to move
back closer to my family to on my PhD, but as I rode through
Elgin one day, I realized there was a need I could meet!
After many prayers, I launched the idea of Palmetto Dance
Center and I continue to get confirmation that I doing exactly
what I am suppose to be doing. I get to live out my chidlhood
dream of owning my own studio while continuing my passion
for dance.
My goal is to provide a positive environment that not only
allows students to learn various styles of dance but also
create an environment that empowers each student to believe
in themselves as they become confident individuals.
A huge thank you goes out to all who have helped make our
first five years a huge success. I couldn't have done it
without my family who have worked countless hours to make
my oversized dream a reality.
I look forward to many great years to come.
Love,
Britton
